DLI Updated Summer 2010

The 2009/10 Developing Leaders Institute wrapped up late June with final project presentations and a graduation dinner.  The projects were finalized and presented to a panel of judges (the Development Dudes LLC).   Each team spent the final weeks putting together the project and utilizing the information that was available.  “I was amazed with how much I dreaded the idea of the project with my busy schedule, and then once I started meeting with my team members [at the end] – I actually had fun putting it together,” stated Chris Richardson.

It’s fair to say that the class had a great time throughout the 18-month program.  Although, everyone agreed that 18-months was a little long.  In fact, during the class year(s), the class had 3 babies, 2 engagements, and 1 marriage.

Dave Gove, DLI Class president stated, “It was an honor to be a part of the 2009/2010 NAIOP DLI class. The value that the student body gained from this experience was unparalleled. Not only were we able to gain real life data and insight from the industry leaders that volunteered to instruct the courses but we were afforded the opportunity to spend one on one time with the leaders of our local NAIOP Chapter, the very people that make it all happen here in Vegas. Personally I was impressed time and time again by the integrity and passion my fellow classmates have for the industry as a whole and the community that makes it all work. Bottom line, if you're under 35 and have the opportunity to get involved with your local NAIOP Developing Leaders organization, you’re doing yourself a dis-service not to get on board.”
