Mizrachi credits DLI for opening doors
A senior commercial advisor at Prudential Commercial Real Estate IPG, Hayim Mizrachi joined the company in January 2008. The Las Vegas native specializes in owner-user industrial and office property sales and leasing at one of the valley’s top industrial brokerage firms.
Participating in NAIOP’s Developing Leaders Institute (DLI) program, as a member of the class of 2009/2010, Mizrachi credits the program for his continued professional development.
“There’s nothing else like DLI’s program if you want a career in commercial real estate or development,” Mizrachi said.
After a stint as a corporate broker with his family’s construction business, Mizrachi worked in land acquisitions in the southern Utah market. He also served as vice president of the 2009 NAIOP DLI program.
Designed for NAIOP members under the age of 35, DLI offers up-and-comers a training, educational and leadership program for commercial real estate industry professionals.
The program prepares its members for successful careers in the commercial real estate industry, featuring educational sessions across a broad range of real estate disciplines, leadership training seminars, a public speaking course, and networking opportunities. The course also incorporates educational sessions focusing on professional development and leadership skills.
From hands-on material and case studies to sharing personal experiences, industry professionals teach students once a month for 2-3 hour sessions. The students have the opportunity to develop and forge relationships with these industry leaders.
According to Mizrachi, those connections are a key component to the program. “The access to industry leaders is amazing,” he said. “And, the program opens doors. I’ve left messages with industry leaders and received a call back the same day.”
