Meet Communications Committee Chair Dawn Perkins
As Executive Vice President of Sales at Nevada Business Magazine and the The ReD Report, she assists clients in making the marketing choices that generate the greatest return on their investments. Perkins has made getting to know the client, their goals and expectations a priority in piecing together the best marketing plans possible. “I like knowing that what I do helps people in the long term,” said Perkins. “The relationships built over the last five years will remain with me forever. That is something you do not find every day.” Prior to the magazine, she worked for a multi-housing advertising publication as a market manager. Perkins has been actively involved in NAIOP of Southern Nevada for the past five and a half years by taking part in several committees including Spotlight Awards, Sponsorship, Bus Tour Event and Communications. She currently is serving as chair of the communications committee. Her involvement and associations with NAIOP members has been vital to her career successes. “The veteran members have made such a huge impact on my involvement in NAIOP, said Perkins. “The organization does a great job in mentoring the younger generation and guiding them into successful careers in the industry.” With her involvement in NAIOP, Perkins is a busy mother of two teenagers, Ryan and Shayla, and wife to her husband Michael. She currently resides in Northwest Las Vegas two miles from the Mt. Charleston turn-off.
