President's Message
Welcome to the Digital Age of NAIOP Now. The chapter’s Communications Committee is pleased to present the first edition of our new e-newsletter. As you know we publish NAIOP Now on a quarterly basis. This year we will be bringing you NAIOP Now in two formats. Our spring and fall issues will remain in print and our summer and winter editions will be electronic. Hopefully, you will find the electronic format easy to navigate and reference. You can let us know what you think by taking the member survey, coming out next month.
It has been a busy last few months for our chapter. As you know our Government Affairs Committee and lobbyist team have been hard at work throughout the recent legislative session. Included in this issue is a recap of the 75th session of the Nevada Legislature and its impact on your business. Our Golf Tournament Committee hosted yet another successful event. Many of our members spent the day at the course enjoying a round of golf, great friends and good food. Recaps of the Spring Golf Tournament as well as our summer member mixers are included in this issue. Please take a moment to view our photo gallery and download your favorite pictures from each event.
Another committee hard at work is the chapter’s Bus Tour Committee. On Friday, October 2, NAIOP Southern Nevada and Cox Business Solutions will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the office, retail, mixed-use and industrial properties throughout the valley. This year’s event will be an “Off the Bus” Tour held at the Arroyo South Business Center. The event will feature extensive exhibits and a showcase of the properties within a shell industrial building. There is more information included in this issue and on the chapter’s Web site.
The summer months have been busy ones for several other committees including Sustainable Development and Membership. Both are each involved in exciting initiatives for our chapter. You will find an update from these groups in this issue.
