Martin-Harris Construction is now the six-time General Contractor of the Year award winner. The firm was founded in 1976 and is solely owned by Frank Martin, who has since won a long and distinguished list of awards, including the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award in Business, General Contractor of the Year award by the Associated General Contractors of Southern Nevada, 50 Most Influential by In Business Las Vegas and Good Scout of the Year, and many more. Martin-Harris Construction has also been listed on the Engineering-News Records’ Top 400 Contractors list for the past decade.
Honesty, integrity, respect and the pledge to deliver the best is the standard at Martin-Harris Construction, and has helped the firm complete and contract an impressive list of commercial projects over the years. Many of the working relationships with architects, engineers, bankers, developers and owners were developed through NAIOP. Almost all of MHC’s Spotlight Award winning projects are developed, designed and/or owned by NAIOP members.
Equally impressive is Martin-Harris Construction’s dedication to charitable organizations and fundraisers. Martin personally hosted Opportunity Village’s Miss Kitties Jeans ‘n Jewels fundraiser at his ranch, successfully raising in excess of $300,000, along with generous donations to the UNLV Foundation, City of Hope Annual Golf Tournament, Boy Scouts of America, Muscular Dystrophy Association, sending phone cards and gift boxes to the troops in Iraq, and donating baskets of food to families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Due to such integrity and successful experience as a leading general contractor in Las Vegas, Martin-Harris Construction has expanded its operations considerably since its founding more than 30 years ago – the original five-man staff has grown to more than 400 and the company is currently valued at more than $280 million.
