President's Message
This issue of NAIOP Now recaps one of our chapter’s most anticipated events of the year. The 13th Annual Spotlight Awards! The ceremony was held at The M Resort Spa Casino on March 13th. More than 400 industry professionals attended "The Spotlights" to celebrate the talents of our members, the achievements of their firms and the success of NAIOP Southern Nevada.
I would like to personally thank everyone who made the event possible, especially our many sponsors and the members of the Spotlight Awards Committee. Their commitment and hard work made it possible for our chapter to have such a memorable event.
Mayor Oscar Goodman joined me as our Masters of Ceremony and helped recognize many of our outstanding projects and people. In this issue of NAIOP Now you will find a summary of the evening’s highlights and the firms and individuals who received industry awards. We’ve also included a full list of honor awards and photos from the evening.
In addition to Spotlight, this issue also includes updates from our Sustainable Development and Education Committees, as well as recaps of our many other events.
As the Government Affairs Committee is ramping up for what is sure to be a busy election season, you will find an update on the committee’s efforts included in this issue. Please continue to be on the lookout for your government affairs e-newsletter for more in-depth information about our efforts.
Over the next several months, we have many great events, seminars and programs scheduled for your benefit. I encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities and get involved to get the most out of your NAIOP membership. A calendar of events is included in this issue.
