NAIOP Southern Nevada Wins National Award

NAIOP corporate honored NAIOP Southern Nevada with a national award on February 2 at its annual Chapter Merit Awards ceremony in Washington D.C.

The Southern Nevada chapter received top honors in the merit category of Special Events for its annual Spotlight Awards ceremony. Last year’s event brought together more than 600 attendees from the commercial real estate industry to celebrate the best commercial real estate projects and professionals of 2008. This year’s Spotlight Awards was held on March 13 at the M Resort.

“I am proud of our chapter and the Spotlight Awards Committee for receiving this distinguished, national award,” said Brad Schnepf, president of NAIOP Southern Nevada. “This award recognizes the countless hours of hard work and precision that make the Spotlight Awards one of the most highly-regarded and significant ceremonies in Southern Nevada.” 

Nearly 120 nominations were received by NAIOP corporate from chapters in the small, medium and large division categories. NAIOP Southern Nevada, with more than 700 members, was entered into the large-group category classified by having 500 or more members.  A panel of independent judges reviewed each category and selected winners based on a point system.

The Chapter Merit Awards were presented at the Chapter Leadership and Legislative Retreat, held January 31 though February 3, in Washington D.C. This annual gathering brings together leaders from NAIOP’s United States and Canadian chapters for three days devoted to education and professional development.
