R&O Construction has begun construction on a CVS/Pharmacy drugstore located at Harmon Avenue and Paradise Road in Las Vegas, Nevada. This new CVS/Pharmacy will be 15,741 square feet, open 24 hours and contain a one-hour photo center. The architect on this project is Carter & Burgess, Inc. of Texas, and the developer is Armstrong Development of Pennsylvania. Project completion is scheduled for July 2004.

The Clark County School District awarded Roche Constructors, Inc. the contract to construct a new middle school on the corner of Karen Avenue and Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas. Valued at $21.5 million, the 148,500 square foot school will be constructed on an 18-acre site. Construction is expected to start at the end of march with completion scheduled for May 2006. Welles-Pugsley Architects of Las Vegas designed the school. Roche Constructors, Inc. recently completed Spring Valley High School, valued at $40.3 million, and will finish construction on the $19 million Clifford O. Findlay Middle School in June.

SR Construction President Scott Loughridge announced the firm has completed construction of Phase I of an office park at the southwest corner of Warm Springs Road and Gilespie Avenue in Las Vegas. The owner/developer of the project is Glen, Smith & Glen. The firm broke ground in June on Phase I of the park, consisting of four buildings totaling 22,000 square feet. The state-of-the-art facility is a Class A, single-story project with extensive landscaping. Construction costs for Phase I was approximately $1.1 million.
