Dan Palmeri

Dan Palmeri is originally from Calabasas, California. The middle of three boys, Dan was brought up by a set of amazing parents. His father, Gaetano, an immigrant from Sicily, met his mother, Rory, when she was on a cruise. Gaetano was the head bartender, and it was love at first sight. Gaetano settled down with his new love in her native San Fernando Valley. After a few years of dating the couple came to Las Vegas to get married. They borrowed money to open a small Italian Restaurant in Calabasas in 1981, and turned it into a renowned destination for people to dine for over 20 years.

Dan started his career in the restaurant business when he was 13 years old. He worked every Friday and Saturday night, in full suit and tie, as maître d'. Once in high school, Dan had to cut his nights to only Saturdays during football season, as Dan was the captain of the team for all four years.

In the beginning of his senior year of high school, the family decided to move to Las Vegas. Dan decided to remain in Calabasas, and finish school with the friends and team he grew up with. This put much more responsibility on his shoulders, as he would run the restaurant four to six nights a week while his father was in Las Vegas, until the family sold the business.

After graduation, Dan moved to Las Vegas to reunite with his parents and brothers. After a semester in Nevada, Dan moved to San Diego to get a true college experience. Dan spent two years at Mesa College before returning to Las Vegas.

One week after returning, his family opened a new restaurant in Henderson. All members of the family helped get the business off the ground, and made it a true neighborhood restaurant. Since 2002, the restaurant has been awarded with: Best New Off Strip Restaurant, Best Italian in Las Vegas 2007 and One of the best 1000 Italian Restaurants in the Country by Zagat.

Dan believes his true education was gained working in the business and having the opportunity to interact with so many different and influential people. He knew that he wanted to make a name for himself in an industry that is also based on great customer service and pride.

He had always been intrigued by the real estate industry and got started in residential real estate in 2005. After a short stint of open houses, he realized he wanted to be more involved with the community aspect of the business, which led him into commercial. Dan joined Colliers International in 2007, and started the Tenant Representation Division with his mentor and senior partner Taber Thill. Both men grew up in the hospitality industry and take pride in giving their clients the best possible service, with the utmost professionalism.

The team takes pride in being the only Exclusive Tenant Representation brokers in the Las Vegas Valley. They provide their clients with true fiduciary responsibility and enjoy getting them the best deal possible.

Dan is currently a member of NAIOP’s Southern Nevada Chapter, as well as the Developing Leaders Institute class of 2009/2010. He is also focused on being on the board of the Links for Life Foundation.

Dan is looking forward to pursuing his LEED certification, becoming a member of both CCIM and SIOR in the next few years.
