DLI 2009 Class Bios

Matthew Hoyt

Benjamin CampbellMatthew Hoyt is a Las Vegas native and started his real estate career in February 2007 as a Real Estate Analyst with CommCap Advisors, a full service commercial mortgage banking firm. In his first two years, Matthew underwrote approximately $130 million in closed loans for life companies, CMBS lenders, and local and regional banks before becoming a Loan Production Assistant. Matthew is well versed in the underwriting criteria for a variety of property types including office, industrial, retail, self storage, and multifamily projects. He is also involved with all company marketing, loan closings, and the CommCap servicing portfolio. Matthew graduated in May 2006 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S.B.A. in Real Estate. While in school, he received numerous awards including a variety of academic scholarships and Track & Field All-American honors. In May 2006, Matthew was nominated and took part in the International Scholar Laureate Program where he traveled to Eastern Europe to study foreign business, economics, customs, trends, and philosophies with other U.S. students. In 2005, he joined the Real Estate and Business Society (REBS) and participated in the Mentor Program offered by the Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies at UNLV. Matthew now proudly serves as an Executive Committee Member for the Lied Institute and directs the alumni program. Matthew is also a member of the Southern Nevada Chapter of NAIOP where he is actively involved on the Bus Tour Committee and is a member of the 2009-10 Developing Leaders Institute. In his free time, he enjoys the company of friends and family, traveling, working out, playing recreational sports, and taking extra time for lunch on Fridays to eat sushi.
