Project DescriptionThe NAIOP Community Service Committee presents this proposal for the design and construction of the 1st NAIOP Casey Jones Health Center. In keeping with our mission to identify specific needs in the community and offer assistance in health and well being, the committee is proposing a new 1200 SF Health Center to provide medical and mental health services for children under the age of 18. These children, who represent a percentage of the number of Clark County School Students who are in desperate need of basic medical care, will have access to this facility on a part-time basis, 3 days a week. Located at the Elaine Wynn Elementary School at 5655 Edna Avenue, this health center is expected to serve a projected population of 5,000 students from that area. The Building Committee will oversee the design and construction of this facility; most of which is being donated by our NAIOP members. The Clark County School District will coordinate plan checks and inspections and will control future maintenance of the building. Once completed, Communities in Schools funds the Health Center through the School District and Grants. All doctors and medical personnel are volunteers from UNLV and the Las Vegas Medical Community who donate their time. |
